Week 3

My parents got married on Sunday. I'm happy for them but so glad it's over. The wedding was very beautiful, it was at a winery in Egg Harbor. My boss is pissed I took off two days in a row but it's my parents wedding so I can't really control that. I think I'm going to write about separating the art from the artist for my essay. The food was so good on Sunday. I missed a bunch of classes so I can't wait to make those up. Yay.

I managed to not cry at the wedding. I always cry at weddings. I hid tissues in my bouquet just in case. I successfully made it through the whole ceremony. My stepdad wore a rosary with a picture of his daughter. There was a shelf for people who passed away and an honorary seat for Lily.

The makeup artist did such an amazing job. I loved the makeup, and since I was the first one done I took my cousin to a cafe. She was getting stir crazy. We got a cupcake and a cookie from the cafe. I was so careful not to ruin my makeup. I got a massive nosebleed while eating. My makeup was ruined, and I had to go back to the makeup artist to get touched up. 

I think I'm checking out the Rutgers campus this weekend. I don't go to New Brunswick super often, so I want to check out the town too. The campus is massive.

My friend has her debut this weekend. I've never been to one before, but she explained it as a Filipino Quince for a girl's 18th birthday. I have no idea what to get for her. I'm honestly just as excited to see her family as I am to see her. Her parents are so sweet, and her mom is excited to give me advice on my law career. I'm so excited to celebrate her. I have no idea how she manages to balance everything. She works in her mom's law office, models, takes college courses, has travelled everywhere, speaks four languages, and still manages to be one of the sweetest people ever. 

Week 2

I'm falling into a routine. School, work, and the gym in that order Monday-Friday with dance a few days in between. My mom's wedding is coming up, and I don't think she gets that I don't have a ton of time to help her with preparing. I went to see Malcolm Todd on Wednesday. I love concerts, but I had to go straight from work so we got there right as doors opened. My friend and I were all the way in the back of the venue, but the energy was super fun and it wasn't too long. In my opinion concerts stop being fun after like 3 hours. I love weekends. I have off school, work, and dance so I can spend the entire weekend catching up on schoolwork and spending time with my friends and family. On Saturday I spent the morning with my mom and went out to eat later on. I beat the Pete and Elda's pizza challenge, which has been on my bucket list for a while. The shirt is ugly and they only had an XL which went down to my knees, but the pizza was so good. I slept over a friend's house into Sunday. I wanted to go to another concert so bad, but I had already promised my mom I would help her with wedding stuff. I felt so sick, I slept almost the whole day and wasn't able to help her. I deep cleaned a lot this week. My cousins are visiting America for the wedding, so my entire family has been stressing out about getting the house ready. We're a family of 7, I don't understand why my parents offered my cousins a place to stay when the house is already packed. I binge watched Breaking Bad when my friend fell asleep first on Saturday night. It's so good. I know I have a stressful week ahead, since the wedding is on Sunday and the rehearsal dinner is on Saturday. Hopefully I find time for the gym and schoolwork so I don't go insane or fall behind in my classes. I think my boss is annoyed I only work like 18-22 hours a week but I literally can't get there any earlier or stay any later.

Week 1

The first week of classes isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I thought I would be stressed dealing with college classes and working Monday-Friday but it's very manageable. I like English so far. It's a laid back class and I respect the emphasis on effort. It makes more sense that we're graded on labor, since being graded off the quality of our writing is more subjective. I don't like how concrete my schedule is. I wish there was some more flexibility. I'm very glad I can go off campus for lunch. I like the meditation that starts English. I really wish I had delayed arrival so I can sleep in.
